Davis Square Neighborhood Council

We meet the last Monday of each month at 6 PM. Next meeting will be June 2nd (due to Memorial Day) at the Somerville Community Baptist Church & remote via Zoom.
We are in the process of forming a neighborhood council to represent residents and local business owners in Davis Square, Somerville. If you live in the Davis Square neighborhood (or visit Davis frequently and want to stay in the loop):
When formed and approved by the city, a “neighborhood council” gives Davis Square residents, business owners, and workers a guaranteed seat at the table when private developers want to reshape Davis Square. You don't need any political experience to get involved; if you live or work in Davis Square, you're already qualified!
We have more work to do before the city and developers formally recognize our authority as a neighborhood council.
Some DSNC members are passionate about issues outside the scope of official “neighborhood council” functions, such as Somerville Community Path improvements, pedestrian safety, economic development, supporting the arts, and more. We are pursuing those improvements to Davis Square as a group of residents sharing that vision for the future of our neighborhood.
